Wilderness First Aid Training Hawaii — Maui
The Road to Hana, Haleakalā's summit, and Maui's backcountry trails can all put serious distance between an injured person and emergency services. Hawaii Survival School's 16-hour Wilderness First Aid certification teaches Maui residents, hiking guides, and outdoor professionals how to manage real medical emergencies — broken bones, hypothermia, anaphylaxis, and more — in conditions where help may be 45 minutes to several hours away. NASAR-recognized certification, valid for two years.
The 2023 Maui wildfires reminded everyone on the island what it means to be cut off from emergency services quickly. Wilderness First Aid is about being ready for any remote scenario — not just the dramatic ones. It's two days of hands-on training that changes how you respond under pressure.
