Gunstock Ranch, Kahuku, HI
All public courses run at Gunstock Ranch on the North Shore — Hawaii Survival School's home base. This is where the training happens.
If you live on Oahu, Hawaii Survival School is in your backyard. Kap Te'o Tafiti and his team run island survival training, wilderness first aid certifications, and summer camp programs at Gunstock Ranch in Kahuku — one of the most authentic jungle environments on the island. Oahu residents don't have to travel far to get real, hands-on skills that are directly relevant to the terrain, plants, and conditions they already live with.
North Shore — Our Home Terrain
From the valleys above Haleʻiwa to the Ko'olau foothills, every skill Kap teaches is drawn from Oahu's real landscape — not a classroom or a simulated environment. You'll learn friction fire, shelter building, and wild food using what actually grows here.
All Ages, All Levels
Whether you're bringing the family for a 4-hour adventure, enrolling kids in summer camp, or earning a NASAR-recognized Wilderness First Aid certification, every program on Oahu is built around where you actually are — beginner to professional.
