Wilderness First Aid Training Hawaii — Big Island
The Big Island has some of the most remote terrain in the entire state — Waipio Valley, the Hamakua Coast, Mauna Kea's summit, and the Puna district all sit far from trauma centers and can present serious delays for emergency response. Hawaii Survival School's 16-hour Wilderness First Aid certification gives Big Island residents, outdoor guides, and emergency volunteers the hands-on skills to manage medical emergencies in exactly these conditions — and a NASAR-recognized certificate valid for two years.
From lava tube collapses and volcanic gas exposure to remote hiking injuries, the Big Island presents unique emergency scenarios. This course is built to prepare you for the real conditions you face here, not generalized mainland wilderness scenarios.
